Today was the first time I climbed the Clérigos Tower a part of the church structure. I climb about 230 stairs up to see a large part of the city of Oporto and… What a view!! I’m afraid of heights and this tower have 76 meters up and six levels but was the view that toke my  breath away.

It was the italian architect Nicolau Nasoni designed the baroque church and the Torre dos Clérigos (Clerics Tower), between 1732 and 1763. Its the tallest tower bell in the city and can be seen from various points. The tower is located at the back of the building and the baroque decoration here also shows influence from the Roman Baroque. This great structure has become the symbol of the city.
